lub NE of thc things which is important for success in any field is the ability to get along with people. That is one of the objectives which is accomplished by participation in the varied and numerous clubs at Gratz. Everyone has a hobby, whether it be studying more about his favorite subject or taking part in some sport. Therefore, our activities program is so arranged that among the thirty-two clubs every student will find one that will attract him and in which he will enjoy participation. Membership in club activities is not compulsory, inasmuch as meetings are held after regular school hours. It is possible for students to belong to more than one club, for meetings are held on different days of the week. Any group of ten or more stu- dents, who has a member of the faculty willing to act as a sponsor, may petition the Senate for a charter. If, after consideration the Senate feels there is a need for such a club and that it will be a valuable addition to the school's extra-curricular activities, a charter will be granted and the club will start to function. One of the more prominent clubs in the school is the Biology Club. It meets every Tuesday, at which time various programs pertaining to biology are presented. Club members give talks on timely topics of nature study. This group also takes trips to bird sanctuaries and museums, which prove an added attraction to the members. This term several exhibits were prepared and placed about the school.
