Rice, President C. Lance, President CLASS HISTORY The Class of 1949 began their high school days at 9 A. M., September 11, 1945, and after surviving the first few days of initiation were duly accepted ancl elected their class officers for the Fall semester. They were Ernie Wong, Presidentp Chuck Craver, Vice-President, Barbara Green, Sec- retary, and Marco Novack was appointed Business Manager. Second semester officers were Bob LaCrosse, Presidentp Anthony Gliko, Vice-President, Mary Ann Shamberger, Secretary, and Ernie Wong, Business Manager. The social function of the year was the Frosh dance March 15, 1946, termed the Shamrock Shuffle . The Sophomore year was started with the following officers: Bill Peard, President, Bob LaCrosse, Vice-President, Virginia Rudkin, Secretary, and Helen McCandless, Business Manager. The Sophomore dance that year was the Harvest Moon dance. Taking over for the capable first semester officers were Ernie Wong as President, Corky Lance as Vice-President, and Betty Smith as Secretary. Juanice Wasley assumed the iob of Business Manager. The Junior year started off with Bob Kochis, President, Dick Rice, Vice-President, Joyce Maiors, Secretary, and Laurel Densmore, Business Manager. Second semester was headed by Don Cornell as President, Jim Abraham as Vice-President, Barbara Woods as Secretary, and Bill Peard as Business Manager. Climaxing a successful year was the Junior Prom, lvy . Beginning the Senior year were Dick Rice as President, Soyla Ali as Vice-President, Janice Church as Secretary, and Bob Wilder as Business Manager. During that semester the Class of 1949 set a new mark, being the first Senior Class ever to hold a Senior Parents Night. The second semester officers were Corky Lance, President, Ernie Wong, Vice-President, Joyce Andrews, Secretaryp and Jean Brakey, Business Manager. A very successful Senior Ball was planned for May 28. Culminating a successful four years Graduation arrives on June 10.
