Who's that running across the 0161d, sure looks llke Ralph Gunter Well, what do you know, lt 151 He says he owns the a1rport and 18 also a test pilot Keeps him pretty busy, but Ralph was always contented when he was near an alrplane Ralph also said that Joe Herd owns a turkey exper1mental farm in the outskfrts of the metropolis of Grass Creek, I suppose you've heard that Joe is the President of the Internatlonal Turkey Growers A8S00iBt1On I'd better stop in to see the Mayor of Grass Creek to see if he knows anything about the spy ring that I am 1nvestlfat1ng Well what do you know, the Mayor happens to be Marvzn Wills who says he came 1nto the polltical limelight when he started the Wll1's Cork MBPV1D sa1d that Steve Martinov became V1oe Presldent of the MOFtiC1anS Unlon in 1960, and 1S looking forward to b61HV elected President in 1966 He also said that Dorothy Long has a dally nAdV106 to the Lovelorn column in the oity's largest newspaper, and that Grass Creek's top Television 18 honored by hav1ng Paul Reffett as 1t's ace oomedlan and by the way I hear the reason that Mllton Burl retired was because he couldn't oompete with Paul Well, it looks as though I'll have to go on to Indlanapolls to 1nvestigate further Of course you know that John Jayl Herrold if the Governor of Indiana, and when I arrived at the Governor's manslon to have a conference w1th him, he called two more of our classmates, Sh1rley Fields and Elaine Horn, to have lunch with us Shirley is an 9XO0Ut1V9 in the Home Economics Exper1mental Divis1on of the Indianapolis Branch of Swift and Company and is very happily married and has two sets cf twins, busy girl, as always Elaine is Superv1sor of the Cancer Ward 1n the Robert Long Hospltal, and Jay tells me that Don Shcwley has a Dude Ranch 1n Texas and 13 st1ll a bachelor Umm those Texas girls must not have the charm they used to have Well, the invest1gation must go on never let it be said that Donna Sadler let her Uncle Sam down . . This is also the way things are accomplished in a democracy by people working together. Then, of course, there is the classroom value of the newspaper. Through it, students learn correct forms of English, how to compose an interesting story, the practical use of typewriting skills, and how tc run the mimeograph machine. And, many have learned how to create their own pamphlets and folders by using the mimeoscope to make pictures on them. L as as I3 4, 3 I e' if ,I if 3, -- -- , , s e 11 11 D , 0 I C . . - .
