Advonces mode on honors . . . Jocoby envisioned o dreom. It come true with the switching of odvonced plocement closses for some of the honors' closses: Americon history, biology ll, ond English IV. Some students cloim these closses ore o nightmore. They more thon supplement the workload of honors'g they supplemented o college level course lood. Mrs. Cornelison tought the history course open only to juniors. Dropping the biology closs wos considered becouse of the omount of students thot quit the closs. However, Mrs. Pittmon contended with enough English students to fill two closses. Colculus wos not even storted this yeor due to o lock of eligible students. At the end of the yeor students tools on exom. lf they possed with high enough scores, they could receive up to six hours college credit. Although it rorely occurred thot students received the high scores, it prepored students for the four yeor long houl ogoin. Students enrolled in this AP Progrom kept up on optimistic ottitude. On o podium in Pittmon's room their spirit wos exemplified, written were the words: Alwoys Perfect Energetic Nifty Greot Loveoble lntellectuol Self-Assured Hoppy Compers.
