As we think of the school we're to leave behind, Each Senior will continue to stand, ' For the purple and white will ever be right. For they are the best in our grand old land. - The president, A.C., has come thus far, He's pleasant and as you know a football star. Mary Ruth, as you know, will lead the rest, Because she can pass most any test Billy Rumfield always does her work And from her duty she'll never shirk Last but not least is our Sponsor so dear Who gives words of cheer to the weary N16N, Miss Walker comes in response to our call Because she dearly loves us ally She's a teacher who's just and true and kind In Spanish shs certainly has a lxne, 1933 emu-M ni' PMDWJBQD asuashmndnurfisuuvlhqllllfalmaffazernuzflft H u 1 0 V . , , .. There are only a small number from Grapevine that start- ed in the first grade hereg most all came from far or ' close localities. The first seven years saw many changes in the class, both newcomers and the departure of the oldtimers. Our teacher in the second grade was Miss Fvllis. She ' had patience with us Her red head nodded in reply to d any of our questions What fun we had on our programs, and every boy ard girl worshiped a high school student as an idol FV ry stulent vo nt two passed to the thlrd grade Cmmpoell, th teacher, was small but she 1 non To lan pu 1 T11s year we had a hay L Ln w inw onlted tle Joruh 'ind JH xr do to the fourth grades Always one step highel Here we nav Clara Pope starting to our dear old school and Dot Hunter dropping out Me hate to lose Dot bu+ Clara will fill her place Every girl wanted to be as pretty as our teacher, Miss Eva Jo Buchanan, While every boy loved her Ohl Yes, she was the prettiest teacher on the faculty Kathleen Davis came to the Grapevine Grammar Cchool when she was in the fifth grade The only pupils wmo are now seniors, were Eunice Furgeson and Clara Pope The teachers were, Misses Mary K1rkpatr1ck Mary Yance and Dorothy Plunkett The present seniors who were in the sixth and seventh grades together are, Eunice Furgeson, Clara Pope Kathleen DaV1S. and Hugh Vrzght One of the biggest thr1lls of our life txme was when we received our diplomas from Grammar School Neither have the last four years been steady ones fourteen have Joined our class since that Graduation Day in 1929 1953 --,L,JHgul ,.sd:f'f -1-my wmmwanmvamvmmfaav 4-aw. .L-,,,, W, Z I O I V 1 N . ,- ki , 1 . f V .
