Board Of Directors The Trustee and Advisory Board of Jackson Township, Boone Coun- ty, Indiana, wish to take this opportunity to thank the patrons of J ack- son Township for the intelligent suggestions and co-operation given us throughout our extended privilege of serving as your legal officials. It is with your untiring efforts and support we were able to give our children a modern school building and a student body with whom we are all proud to be associated. Our thanks to the many committees that have made it a pleasure to serve you, and to those who helped us with two building programs in three years. It is very heartening to see our building progress from a corn field to a community center that is in use nearly every night in every week. The present Advisory Board members are Walter Pickering, Kedrick Newton, and William Shubert. These men deserve a lot of crerdit for the success of your building and township programs. John E. Witnessed by: Peggy Sue Boney Maroni Diana Short Fat Fanny Raunchy Senior Class Prophecq Dear Miss Martin, As I was driving my taxi through the busy streets of Chicago, you popped into my mind. Because this is my job, I see some of my old classmates quite often. Maybe you would be interested in what they are doing after ten long years. You probably remember how cracked up Jean Gladden was over Wabash College. Well, she spent years disguising herself as Gene Gladden. She is now attending Wab- ash. fChristine ll, Ron Ebert, who was a great athlete at Wells, is filling the shoes of Goose Tatum for the Globetrotters. If you ever see Ron, never refer to him by the name you remern- ber. He is now called, Goose Ebert . Judy Stipe, who was the going steady girl of our class, married Don Etter immedi- ately after graduation. As you remember, Don was a great hog raiser. They now have a li'ter of little Etters. I was talking to Bud Dorn the other clay, who is a guard at the city jail. He tells me John Batts, Darol Long, and Larry Heiston are serving a 5 to i0 year term in his ward. They are being charged with murder. John Bennington spends most of his time in the city zoo. He is in the monkey cage. Don't get alarmed now, he's just the keeper of the cage. Denny Gray has his own pet shop right in the heart of New Ross. He has every- thing from worms to dogs. He has a specialty in parrots though. Wonder why???? Shirley Jenkins and Sharon Ragsclale had their dreams come true. They are teach- ing school. Shirley teaches history and Sharon, math. You don't suppose they will pattern the teachers they had, do you? Jane Ford had her desire fulfilled. She is with MGM Studios in Hollywood. Slie is Stand-in for Jane Russell. Dottie Henderson is living in Tennessee, waiting for her call for T. V. She is to ap- pear on the Grand Ole Opera if Minnie Pearl ever loses her voice. Charlie Pennington is on the Staff at Purdue University, teaching history. You ,know who never did think he was paying attention in class, but I guess he fooled her, Clara Jean Marshall has a full time job at the Fox in Indianapolis and according to what I hear, she's doing fine. I also hear she has a regular attender. Don't let this shock you too bad'y but it's Charles Emmert. I guess he's real interested in that sort of thing. Sam and Mary Alice Benge have a job on T. V. with Arthur Godfrey. They do one of his commercials -- Which Twin Has The Toni . john Guernsey has a large dairy farm in Wisconsin. I'll give you three guesses as to what type of cattle he has. Phyllis and Mary Jane Wethington star on the T. V. show Name's The Same. Lewis Hoover doesn't have to race around the hometown curves anymore. He has signed up for the 500 Mile Race in Indianapolis. I bet he's had more practice than the other drivers. He also has a co-driver who has had plenty of practice too. It's his wife' whom you remember as Janet Shoaf. E. Newton and Ed Henry were real interested in horses as you may recall. They are making Western films to replace Wild Bill Hickock and Jingles. Guess which one is Jingles. Bob Hubble is a full time butcher in a suburb of Chicago. He always was a big cut up. Pat Brown, Becky Smith, and Margaret Mangus are models for the Big Payoff week days on T. V. They were spotted while visiting Radio Center when we were in New York. Since you've read all these things about all the kids, you are probably wondering how I have heard from all of them at one time. You remember Meredith Walker and Aletha Kincaid were our secretaries so they still write to all of the class. I get most of my information from them. Hope you have enjoyed hearing what we have made of ourselves. Yours truly. Sue Ann Steele Annual Staff Editor . Copy Editor . Assistant Copy Editor Elementary Editor . The guests entered the gymnasium under a canopy of blue while walking through a lush green garden surrounded by white picket fencing. The entrance to the dance floor was a white rose arbor covered with Vining red roses. In the center of the floor was a rock pool centered W ith a white bird bath. The pool was highlighted by floating candles and lilac branches. The refreshments, were served from a blue-lit wishing well. 'Cver the well hung a bright yellow moon shining down on blooming trees placed around the gym- nasium. At mid-night, the Prom ended, bu' the memories of it will not be forgotten. The Rocket squad, under the direction of Coach, Charles Wright, was constantly in contention for championship honors, but eventually had' to settle for second-place standings in both conference and county league competition, as their defeats came at the hands of Pittsboro and Zionsville, who copped the conference and county titles, respectively.
