CHRISTMAS PROGRAM The all school and community Christmas program was held at 8 15 on the evening of December 22 Musical numbers for the program were provided by the boys and girls glee clubs a grade chorus and a men s chorus There were also several solos and small group numbers All musical numbers were interspersed with scripture reading As these numbers were presented a nativlty scene was portrayed in a Bethlehem set ting ONE ACT PLAY CONTEST The Mcl-Ienry County One Act Play Contest was held in the Granville School Auditorium on November 12 The Judge for this event was Professor Gross of the Bottineau School of Forestry Granville s entrant the play Billy s First Date was given a rating of County Jeanne Vogel and Donald Erlandson both of Granville were chosen to head the list of the ten best actors and actresses Mrs Orlo Ehart was director of the Granville production STUDENT COUNCIL The student council has been very active during this school year They have promoted numerous school parties including after game entertainment for the visiting basketball teams NATIONAL ASSEMBLIES PROGAMS The National School Assemblies have presented several interesting programs in Granville during the school year They Include Bob Wood a chalk artist and cartoonist on September 13 the Bushe Marionettes on November 16 and the Ritz Trumpeteers on November 30 Future programs scheduled are the Wallace Chime Players on February 25 the Melodeers on March Z8 and a magic show on April 27 Each px ogram has been educational and very entertaining Z8 96. It ranked highest of the eight plays submitted by high schools in McHenry
