His great understanding and sincere consideration extend to everyone at Gran- ville High School. The years he served in the Navy in Europe and again in Korea revealed in him love for his fellowmen in their struggles and successes. His belief in the abilities of others and his patience in helping develop them reflect the true greatness of the man himself. Mr. McDonell's M.A. Degree in Ad- ministration from the University of Min- nesota amply prepared him for the present position of Business Manager. His coaching experience in football and other sports, plus his having been a swimming and golf enthusiast in high school, and a baseball and bowling devotee now, makes him a fine example for us, the stu- dents, to follow. XN'e will remember hir. McDonell for his splendid spirit of fellowship, his smil- ing friendliness, and astute judgment in all things practical. g OXBQNAMSSJWJQ Mliltf Y AIU .1 J. B. The visitors that we have had here in school have commented on the outstanding behavior of students in class and in study hallg and we feel deeply honored to hear com- ments like that from outsiders. These words of encouragement given by our principal, hir. Klu- carich, should give all of us something to live up to. Mr. Klucarich, who received a Master of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, also attended River Falls State College, Harvard University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. ' I Too much time should never be spent looking back on a job well done. The football squad at Granville does not want to make this mistake and rely on its laurels of last year. YYC are mainly inter- ested in improving ourselves for the coming football season of 1959.2 A moment's refiection, however, will be good. I feel our squad, man for man with only a few excep- tions, was characterized by these three qualities: Q11 IOOCE effort, C21 determination to improve, f3j desire to win. As a coach I feel that the above three points are the essence of a good football player. XN'ithout these you cannot succeed. On this basis, therefore. I think our football season of last year was a big success. The boys should be proud of it. aff?-5 I J .,., ., 5, fwlig Bt fl7 f I it 5 Y N551 'lib Q31 Richard Tesch.
