7ke S WL!! We, the Class of 1949, do hereby give our last will and testament. To the Juniors, we do bequeath the Sacred Study Hall on the third floor. To the Sophomores, we do will the prominence of being upperclassmen. To the Fresh- men, go the organizations, such as Hi-Y, Y-Teens, DNK, etc. And to the Iunior High, we leave our dear old GHS-treat it gently! Io-Ann Arter wills her long walks to school to Judy Hoffman. Marlene Borror wills her Y-Teen presidency to any brave junior girl. Jean Briggs wills her outside dates to anyone lucky enough to get them. john Brown wills his saddles to Lynn Atwell. Phyllis Carpenter wills her shorthand book back to Gregg. Dave Dimick wills a twenty-pound anchor to Big Schillf, Frank Gosnell wills jim White to the elephants. John Grant wills his beloved pipe back to Kaywoodie. Lou Hodges wills her freckles to the Krause twins-there are plenty for both. Florence Hollingworth wills her position as editor of the yearbook to some junior with lots of time. Jim Hood wills Texas back to Senator Claghorn. Dick Horton wills his love for the school, its teachers, studies, and activities to jimmy Hammond. Dick Ingle wills French back to the French. Dick Jester wills his race to school each morning to any heavy sleeper. Earl jones wills his athletic record to Ralph Young. Tom Kier wills his ability to lime the football field to anyone who can walk a straight line. Frances Kirkendall wills Fuller's Market to anyone who wants the job. Mary Lees wills her cooking to anyone who is brave enough to eat it. Alan Loucks wills all of his fun and laughter to Dave Grant. Dick Miller wills the Senior, Math Class to Don Carlyle. Bob Moreland wills his ability to Get the wheelsn to any underclassman who has trouble with transportation. Jack Ott wills his last name to the mathematicians. COD. Nancy Parker wills her driving ability to Larry Peterson. Emma Posey wills her home to the class for their annual picnics. Jim Posey wills his ability to run to any fast boy like Wayland Marlow. Phyllis Roley wills G.H.S. to her brother, Glenn- Heaven help iimf, Patty Bolt-Wheler wills Volts QVOIZD back to the transformer. Lea Belle Shomaker wills homecoming queen to any lucky junior. lx bCarolyn Showman wills her height to Doris Biffle so she can reach the door 'no . Reese Sutton wills Maurice back to the French. Eddie Volz wills his technique on Dry Bonesi' to Fred Waring. jim White wills his poetry Muse to Billy Van Orman. Hawken? Mr. Eddie Volz came with him back to the states after playing his drums for the Maharaja of Magadore and he is still trying to put those Dry Bones together. CLost: one skeletonj. Another who had a salt water trip home was Frank Gosnell who has been teaching plowing in Timbucktoo. Also with us tonight is the originator of the Happy Hunting Croundsv club, Miss Jo-Ann Arter. She wrote to the Lonely Heartsv club and got so many replies she took her pick and along with her partner, Miss Frances Kirkendall, started a club of their own. We have several prominent business personal- ities comparing their occupations in an obscure corner. Mr. Alan Loucks is a famous hair dresser. His motto is Better locks when you go to Loucksf, Another is Jim Posey who owns his own perfume com- pany. His motto is If want to smell pretty when now is the hour, the right perfume will be made by 'Flowerif' The only feminine per- son of the business world is Miss Phyllis Carpenter who owns the Fuzzy Wuzzy Bear Corporation. You've all heard of the famous lady wrestler, fm sure. Well, Miss Carolyn Showman is another member of the class. Her manager, Earl Francis joseph Raymond Jones C Curlyv for short? is also a G.H.S. ,49 alumnus. This is an especially important occasion for Mr. Richard Case Miller, who has just today passed his bar test and was promoted from a plain Dick', to a criminal lawyer. Mr. Bob Moreland has become head of the Movie Censor Board of Ohio. Since his appointment, a profusion of western movies have flooded Ohio theaters. Miss Dawn Williamson is now conducting a speech correction clinic in New York. An exclusive hat designer is Pat Rolt-Wheeler. C Patty Carnegiei' trade name.D The former junior Rifle Champion of the class of ,49 was George Richard Horton. That experience gave him good reference, because now he is the judge of the annual pea shoot- ing contests. This gala affair is going to be broadcast now by our able Hollywood gossip reporter, Miss Louella Parsons Hodges.
