LOOSE LEAVES FROM A SENIOR'S DIARY September 2, 19h7 Dear Diary Today, as Freshmen, we assembled ln the aud 1COPlum to begin our exciting life as high school students Imagine our enthuslasml October 30 19b7 Dear iary A play called 'The Ghost of Benjamin Sweet, was presented in the auditorium by some of the members of our class This play went over big since it fit right into the season of Hallowe'en December 15, 19L7 Dear Diary We presented a hobby show today in Room 15 The other classes were invited to view the exhibit May 6 l9h8 ear Diary The home economics girls were selected to serve the Mother Daughter Banquet The Juniors and Seniors were honored guests May 13, 19h8 Dear Diary The vocational girls were again chosen to serve the F F A banquet which was held in the school auditor ium tonight May 26, l9u8 Dear Diary The operetta, Tulip Time, was presented Cole June 10, 19L8 Dear Diary Today we are completlng our year as verdant Freshmen but we are looking forward to next September when we can accept our responsibllltles as Sophomores February Zh, l9h9 Dear Diary We Sophomores held a square dance tonight under the d1rect1on of Mr Grimm to ralse funds to sponsor the Junior Senior Prom MHY 13, 19h9 Dear Diary The Variety Show was presented tonight by the music department with Mr Cole as instructor May 25, 19h9 Dear Diary The F H A and F F A sponsored a picnlc at Pleasant Vallby We all ate too much, but even at that we had fun May 27, 19h9 Dear Diary This is the event we have waited for The Junlor Senior Prom was held 1n the school aud1torium tonight Everyone had a starry look ln his eyes as the mellow notes of the orchestra sounded through the audltorium 15 2 - H 15 z : H tonight in the school auditorium under the direction of Mr.

September 7, 19b9 Dear Diary Here we are Jolly Juniors and walking the since there are no veniors January 27, 1950 Dear Diary Today our class proudly published the first edition of THE LINK, our school newspaper February 6, 1950 Dear Diary 0ur schedule was changed today We now have two periods of core each day instead of the separate classes of English and History March 17, 1950 Dear Diary The F H A and F F A sponsored the Shamrock Shindig in honor of St Patrick's Day March 20, 1950 Dear Diary: We were measured for our school rings today. June 5, 1950 Dear Diary: The operetta, H.M.S. Pinafore, was given to- night. The members of the cast presented Miss Tracy, our ' - structor, with a corsage. September 6, 1950 Dear Diary: School began today as the Class of 1951 proudly walked the halls of G.H.S. again. We have welcomeci five new teachers to our faculty--Mr. Riggs, Mr. A. Brown, Mr. Moran, Mr. Cobun, and Mr. Ayers. October 16, 1950 Dear Diary: Our class officers were elected today--Pres- ident, Dale Yommerg Vice President,Margaret Krause, Secretary, Mary LeGeerg and Treasurer, Vera Murphy. November 18, 1950 Dear Diary: The G.H.S. band journeyed to Morgantown W.Va today where they were represented at the Maryland-West Virgin- ia football game.
