B, Mayfield it was made possible for the student body to obtain the first lighted football field in Southern Oregon. This project was started before this year, but the majority of the debt was paid this year. The student council paid off the remaining bond debt. amounting to 5920, The carnival. a means for organizations to secure money for their needs, was handled by the student council. In past years the Carnival was headed by separate clubs. This year committees were Chosen from the touneil to set forth rules for the various tlubs entering: Concessions. As a result of careful planning the gross profit was 5198. A swimming pool project was begun which, if it had materialized, would have been the largest under- taken fy the student body. However. the federal government refused the necessary grant. At the close of sthool there was still a possibility of its being Car- ried through. but even so most of the work would fall to the 1039-10 student body,
