His interest in the youth of the church and school was expressed by his teaching a Sunday School Class and serving as a member ofthe Grantham School Board. We who knew him will long re- member the concern he had for others, his friendliness to all, and his willing ne ss to serve so efficiently for the betterment of organizations in which he believed. It is men such as he that encourage a community to take pride in itself and make others interested in its progress. 8 7 301' your concern for others and interest in all, v we recogmge you, Mrs. Mary Warren fllowers A deep concern for students and for the school and a personal interest that extends through the years are im- mediately recognized in Mrs. Mary Warren Flowers. PROMISE ME! Barry I-Iollis, at twenty-one, has just graduated from Princeton, thereby coming into the fortune left him in his late father's will. On the train back from Princeton he meets and falls immediately in love with Gladys Vance. He persuacfes his aunt, to send Gladys a note inviting her for a visit. Another note goes to Patsie Li nd e n, an old flame of Barry's, asking her to send back his frat pin. Alas, the notes get mixed! Patsie arrives with her mother, and threatens a breach of promise suit un- less Barry marries her immediately. Then Barry has a bright idea, he couldn't possibly marry Patsie if he had a wife and family already. So he gets Ann, the butler's daughter, to pretend to be his wife- and to make it more convincing,he borrows a strange baby. Into this situation marches Gladys. Barry tries to convince Patsie he E married and Gladys he isnlt married at the same time. From all the complications that arise, his girl-friends desert him, and Ann wins his hand. 62 'z 44.
