OUR PR1NC PAL-MR. PANS EH Mr. Charles Dannen has been our principal for nine years. Born and raised in Brownsville, Oregon, he joined the military in 1943. After that he went to college at 0. S. U. Mr. Dannen has two daughters; Heather, 22 and Hollie, 13. His hobbies include woodworking and outdoor activities. Charleyne Rutter has worked as our secretary for thirteen years. She was born and raised in Mount Vernon. Her job includes typing, bookkeeping, shorthand, and taking telephone calls. 5

LANGUAGE Mr. Gene Winnett has been at Grant Union for nine years. He lives here with his wife Cathy, and three children, Kevin 14, James 11, and Tiffany 9. Mr. Winnett teaches Mirrors of Man and Freshman English. He is Athletic Director, Assistant Football Coach, and Varsity Club Advisor. Gene enjoys golfing and hunting. The Freshman English class hard at work. The Freshman English class, except the boys in the front, continue on with their work. 6
