National Honor Society Emphasizes Scholarship and Service NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERS—Kneeling: Dick Merrill, Bill Adkins. NHS OFFICERS--Dixie Ring, pres.; Bob Hagen, vice-pres.; Julie Elligsen, sec.; and Bill Adkins, treas. This year club members assisted at Career Day and Open House. At both Thanksgiving and Christ- mas time, they gave food baskets to needy families. They canvassed the cities of John Day, Canyon City, and Mt. Vernon, selling fruit cakes for the Kiwanis Club; the funds raised by them went toward con- struction at the Lake Creek Recreational area. The three bottom pictures were taken at the spring potluck.
