Prophecy This newscast was reportedly heard on the early morning news from Edward R. Merle on August 21, 1971. It is the result of a survey made by THE GOLD-DIGGER staff concerning the whereabouts of the graduating class of 1961. Carolyn Ames is currently starring as cook for a western T.V. program, “Rawhide”, replacing Wishbone. Garry Allen has secured a position as janitor of The Whitehouse. Barbara Arnett is a “meter maid” in Portland, Oregon. Keith Bezona is a child psychiatrist (for his own 10 children); Carole Davis, his work- worn wife. John Cole recently received acclaim for being the first man to wear balck leotards in public. Clif Drew is taking pictures for PLAYBOY magazine. Fred Elligsen is chasing down models for Clif. Ann Crisp is a skindiver for the “Aquanauts”. Tim Farrell is a crooked “cardsharp” in Reno. Nevada; Elaine Downing is the first woman to be divorced 25 times and then remarry; Eric Fossum is the manager of a ladies’ lingerie shop in Paris, France. Marguerite Good is preparing to launch a campaign for the Presidency of the United States. She is going to run against Marc Mitchell. Bill Haworth is a bootlegger in the Ozarks; Carolyn Gibbs is his assistant. Bertie Hutchinson is married to a rich socialite (for her money). Madlyn Hill is a mountain climber in the Swiss Alps. Wayne Johnson is famous as the first drag-racer to win the “Indianapolis 500” for five consecutive years; Bob Klabo was the first manto sail a ship up Canyon Creek to Seneca. James Lemonds took up life in a monastery because of his disillusionment about women. Rosalie Looney recently completed a tour of the world, on which she married famous film star, Gale “Lover” Martin. Larrie Mason injured himself and totaled his Mercedes Benz on Seneca Mountain. Darlene Thunell and Loyal Matzen own a large cattle ranch in Texas, where they are raising their three sons, Eeney, Meeny, Miney; and Moe is on the way. Dolores Moulton, better known as “Money Bags Moulton” is currently the only zillion- aire in the world. Rex Moles is running for Vice President of the United States on the same ticket as Marguerite Good. Kathleen Pack, avid pupil of Yogi, has not been able to get herself out of her latest trance. Eddie Newton is a prominent language translator for the Security Council of the United Nation. Karen Perkins is known as the first woman to have the New Year’s Baby in John Day for seven consecutive years. Dennis Prewitt is a butler for Bridgett Bardot. Ricky Ricketts is the owner of the largest wine cellar in the world; his ambition is to drink it all some day. Linda Robinson is a “Blues” singer on Bourbon Street. Her favorite song is “How Dry I (Hie) Am”. Rudy Rudishauser is a beatnik poet in Greenwich Village. Mike Ryan is now the owner and editor of the BLUE MOUNTAIN EAGLE. Sharon Santos and Mike Shoemaker are both currently appearing in an opera in the Metropolitan Opera House. Dick Skeins is teaching American Problems classes at Grant Union. Sandra Saunders is running a service station in “Little America”. Jerry Smith is an Eskimo-pie salesman in Alaska. Karen Shanley is currently starring as “Tinkerbell” in Walt Disney’s new version of “Peter Pan”. Paul Steele was recently elected the most romantic man at West Point. Sandy Shields, better known as the “Torch” is currently appearing in the movie “Seward’s Folly”. Ann Sprouffske is her hair stylist. Pete White is marooned on an island in the Pacific (so far he hasn’t been able to get off). Patty Swales is the first woman to swim the Gulf of Mexico. Hal Williams has given up his millions to become a vagabond. Sharon Thomasson is currently searching for oil in Siberia.

Senior Play - Mrs. Plaster of Paris CAST OF PLAY (Above): Mrs. Mattie Fergu- son, Darlene Thunell; Mrs. Walter Clarke, Sandy Shields; State Managers, Marc Mitchell, Bill Ha- worth; Kellie Smudge, Barbara Arnett; Marvin Clarke, Eric Fossum; Publicity, Madlyn Hill; Mrs. Plaster, Sharon Thomasson; Promptress, Pat Swales; Samantha Whittier, Karan Shanley; Louise Ferguson, Linda Robinson; Tom Bigbee, Fred Elligsen; Zeb Whittier, Eddie Newton; Director William Whitmore. SEATED: Myrtle Prune, Sharon Santos; Tillie Bird. Kathy Pack, Mrs. Liddy Ann Smudge, Carolyn Ames. The senior class play, Mrs. Plaster of Paris”, a 3-act comedy-drama, was presented on Dec. 15. Mrs. Plaster comes to Horton in search of her husband’s murderer. She meets a number of ‘odd’ people there and finally locates the murderer through her husband’s ring which is given her by a suitor, Tom Bigbee. In the meantime she brings a young couple together to the satisfaction oftheir mothers. Sharon Thomasson had the feminine lead while Fred Elligsen was the suitor whom she exposes.
