They have gathered to promote interest and participation in girls sports and to encourage good sportsmanship in all phases of living. G. A. A. tournaments were held in popular team sports such as basketball, volleyball, and baseball. Play-days and workshops were attended at other schools. A carnival and Mother-Daughter Banquet were given in the Spring. The girls also went bowling and swimming for six weeks each. Miss Ruth Small was their advisor. Officers in G. A. A. were: President, Sue Whorrall, Vice president, Carol Howard, Secretary, Donna Wallace, Treasurer, Ruth Hayden, Point Checker, Alice Juruersong Reporter, Sharon Ohm. STUDhNT COUNCIL The main function of the Student council is to discuss any problems of any sort that may arise.
