Various legislative measures and recommend- ations were passed by the Council. Some of these include the approval for park- ing lines to be painted around the school area, the passing of an amendment to the constitution concerning the initiative, referendum, and recall powers of the student body, and also approved a plan by which the student body could become more informed of the activities of the Executive Council, either through the Grantonian or an assembly. Throughout the term the Council was kept busy dis- cussing the pros and cons of numerous other measures and recommendations, some of which were passed, others rejected. I would like to thank all those who co-operated with me so much during my term of office. It has sincerely been a pleasure to serve you.

PRING GENERAL COUNCIL PRESIDENT Ted Calouri In any well run state few radical changes will be made. The Spring General Councilcollaborated with the Executive Council in passing legislation which con- stitutes new policy or modification of present policy. For example, regulations concerning rally and student body elections were initiated. However, we concen- trated our efforts on ideas which help to make student life what it should be. Two random examples are the founding of a student run honor study hall for students wishing to study at noon in a quiet place, and the founding of a music recreation room for students wishing to listen to music while relaxing at noon. Ifelt we had an enthusiastic council, and, considering natural restrictions, that we ac- complished a great deal.
