Four swift and busy years have passed since we welcomed you, the class of 1955. For manythe hopes and dreams of September, 1951, have been fulfilled. As we fore- told then, what you take from your years at Grant is the result of the efforts which you, as individuals and as a class, have exerted in the classroom, in activities and in service. Now, as you graduate, we have the same high hopes for you in the coming years, and again the result will depend upon your own personal goals and ambitions. May they be worthy of the potentialities which we know are yours. Our good wishes go with you. Mary Schroeder Vice-principal When you entered high school, the four years ahead looked very long and distant. Looking back, now that the time for gradu- ation has arrived, these same four years seem to have passed very quickly. During this time much has happened. You have ex- perienced many joys and successes as well as some disappointments and failures. You have improved your skills and abilities, have acquired new appreciations and inter- ests and have developed respect for the democratic values and man's welfare. We here at Grant High Schoolwho have worked with you during these years believe that you have the ability to meet both success and failure in a mature manner and have pre- pared yourselves to meet the next four years and all those that follow in a way that will bring credit to yourself, to your families, to Grant High School and to your country.
