l BOYS' LEAGUE Organized in 1947, the Boys' League's main purpose is to promote friendship and interest among the boys at Grant. The annual League assembly presenting various talent: noon movies, into which some found unusual Ways to be admitted Without paying the nominal fee of five cents: assisting in the financing of pictures of the Executive Council: and awarding the annual Boys' League trophy to the boys' club having the highest grade point, are just a few of the many events spon- sored hy the group.

GIRLS' LEAGUE The Girl's League at Grant was founded in l926 and has been active since then in uniting in friendship every girl attending this school. The organization discriminates against no one, and every girl is eligible for active participation in all their events. Among their activities this year were the Chrysanthemum Show, with Queen Sally l reigning, the Mortar Board, the selection of the tall and spring Honor Girls, Hello Day, Cotton Day, the annual Big and Little Sister party, and monthly faculty teas. Their motto of Love, Honor, and Friendship is demonstrated in their many activities which include all the girls at Grant.

GENERAL COUNCIL F all President, Iohn Mifflin Secretary, Bob Inman ik' Spring President, Dennis Sheets Secretary, Pat Neubert The General Council functions much the same as the House of Representatives in Con- gress, and is a necessary link between the students and the Executive Council. Each regis- tration room at Grant elects a delegate to this council, called a room representative, to serve for one school term. The council, with self- elected officers, conducts school business, While each room representative reports the decisions of the council to his registration room. The room representatives also serve as collectors of money for student body card and other drives, thus performing an important school service. SPRING AND FALL GENERAL COUNCIL
