The program feafured sfudenf speakers. NINETY-SIX PER CENT Almosf reaching his covefed one hundred per cenf, Jack Roberfs, sfudenf body 'Ire-asurer, led Granfonians fo a sfudenf body card sale which fipped ninefy-six per cenf. As a reward for fheir co- operafion in fhe membership drive, on April 6 in fhe gymnasium, sfudenf body members were given a free dance fo fhe syncopafions of Paf RiIey's orchesfra. ROYAL G DANCE Granfonians big-appled, shagged and swung fheir parfners in fhe Granf gymnasium on March I8 when fhe Royal G Club sponsored fhe firsf sfudenf body dance of fhe season. Eliss Layne and his melodic musicians supplied fhe music for fhe dance, a sfricfly sporfs affair. CHRESTOMATHIAN-PHILADORIAN DEBATE On April 29 fhe semi-annual Chresfo-Philo debafe was held on fhe quesfion, resolved: Thaf 'Ihe democracies of fhe world should form an infernafional alliance. The winners, Kay Rogers and Rufh Cahill of fhe Chresfomafhians, upheld fhe affirmafiveg while Ben Parkinson and Jack Se'HIe of fhe Phil- adorians upheld fhe negafive. Kay Rogers was adiudged fhe besf speaker. The iudges were Miss McGill, Mr. Rickles and Mr. Pelleyg and fhe presidenfs of fhe respecfive clubs, Frances Hulse and Del UHer, were co-chairmen. FROSH FROLIC Senior mef Frosh, and Frosh mef Senior on fhe affernoon of March I6 when Granf High School's annual Frosh Frolic fook place. The enferfainmenf was headed by fwo shorf skifs, a burlesque of Snow Whife and fhe Seven Dwarfs and an old-fashioned meIIerdrammer. The former was wriffen and direcfed by Emy Lou Bourbeau, while fhe Iaffer, enfifled The Irish Sweepsfakes or Who Sfole Mofher's Kni'Hing7 was wriH'en and direcfed by Lillian Chanfler. Ofher feafures on fhe program included an amafeur wresfling mafch sfarring Jim Cameron and Paf Lynch, fwo selecfions by fhe Glee Club under fhe direcfion of Miss Jean Acorn, and piano swing music by Bill Morrow and Bob Whifely. Jim Davidson, chairman of fhe Frosh Frolic Commiffee, was masfer of ceremonies.
