On the basis of our achievements, we were awarded a gold emblem rating, which is the highest rating that can be attained. ?ufurc' Zzrm To begin the school year right, the F, F. A. officers attended the Leadership Training Center at Hardinsburg, Kentucky. Throughout the year, the club members enter their projects in various contests and shows. Mike Smith received an award for the grand champion animal at the state fair and other members entered the district dairy show. We were proud' to have a member of our club, Barry Bingham, in the National F. F. A. Band at the National Convention. Our chief money-making project is raising a tobacco crop on the school farm, in which all members z. Zutzzrc' H0 TOWARD NEM' The Future Homemakers of America is a high school organization composed of girls interested in home economics. The colors of the organization are red and white. Red is for firm determination to succeed and white is for the purity and integrity of youth. The Grant County Chapter has 96 members and Mrs. Clyde Lanter is the chapter advisor. We were honored this year by having Mrs. Fred Scroggin as our Chapter Mother.
