DEDICATION Page Four Grant Communuty Hugh School furst opened uts doors to welcome approxumately a hundred students tnat Seotember of l93O Under the capable leadershup of Mr C C Clax ton the turst pruncupal hus ten teachers managed all the classes ot a fully accreduted hugh school Those furst ten teachers some of whom you may know were Mrs Rolluns Mrs Ferne Hull Muss Jameson Muss Bannon Mr Hull Mr Rasunske Mr Ruch Mr Orr and Mr Hodge In 1935 Mr John S Moore became pruncupal when Mr Claxton advanced to a pruncupalshup un Chucago No marked changes were made un the faculty luneup untul l945 when a gurls physucal educatuon department was added to the curru culurn Mr Moore served Grant Communuty well as mentor untul l948 when he resugned Mr Wade Eberly was selected to full the vacancy Mr Ruch was named actung pruncupal untul Mr Eberly oftucually took the helm un October Sunce hus comung Grant has completed two buuldung programs to accommodate the record hugh un student enrollment lt speaks well for the scholarshup and encouragement of Grant educatuon that four of her graduates have returned to further those pruncuples receuved They are Dan Werhan Class of 32 Paul Lewus Class of 35 Irene DeLaby Class of 40 and Robert Boesel Class of 44 From l93O to the close of uts turst quarter century Grant s hustory has been a story of growth and progress I I l l . 1 ' I I I ' 1 ' , . , . , . . . , . . .
