Mabel Shipley Gene Ann Mathews Ruby Dannar Emma Jean Thompson Phyllis Sue Thompson Charles Thompson Hugh Rankmg Semors High ranking students of the 1946 Grant City High School Semor Cla.ss are Mabel Shipley Gene Ann Mathews Ruby Dannar Emma Jean Thompson Phyllis Sue Thompson and Charles Thompson. At the time the annual goes to press, two girls, Gene Ann Mathews and Mabel Shipley, are in the lead f.or for the valedlctorianship, Because the grades are very close, it is impossible to determine at this time which one will receive the honor. Ruby Dannar has the highest ranking in the class but is ineligible for the valedlctorianship because she has taken only three years work in the Grant City High School. Several of these students have not only been leaders of their class in scholar- ship but have been- very active in extra-curricular activities. The most recent honor coming to an individual in this group was that of winning the district American Legion Oratlonal contest by Gene Ann Mathews. 11 DON ANDERSEN trod rrrrrd hrnr for ar rrr r let hrm pav Drarrmlrra 4 ice 4 no all L :hx ner 4 Wx rural Staff 4 GRACE CRAVEN ouxe only to xee her rue her .ee K rr Dramatru 3 lrbrary Start' a er a T ,Jr aff 4 lep Squad 1 7 3 DONNA DOWNING She -rrrilesr and wrnrles 1 lee tlrrb 1 Dramatrcs I Uffrce 4 lf-p Squad 3 4 Vurrwhrp Lnrrrmrttee 4 HAROLD FLETCHALL X man of thou htfrrl xx olk lrrnror plax Drdnrutrns 3 DON FOLAND The-se teacher-r Juet suvrk me to death no wonder l am sm thin G ee Club ' Dramatic-1 4 Junrrr, Play, Llhrarx 4 F 'V X 12: ' rfg 35 is 'Q 0- 'i hw - 11-1-0- JOE ASHER and-urnrc Phat Q ull l out llrarrmtrc rbrux Stair' 4 CHARLOTTE BROWN Her XUICC was exer Qoft rn gvntls Plee Club lhanmllcs 3 Imp Squad 9 RUBY DANNAR The wee hour-s of the night xtrll find nu wrltrm. They are sitting in a section reserved for them, yelling at the top of their lungs. They have on their black skirts and slacks and black sweaters with white collars and gold G's. The cheerleaders, who are in front of them have gold sweaters and G's with black and gold pleated skirts. These sixty girls help in promoting enthusiasm for our games, and also help the morale of our players with their trick yells and musical stunts, especially the favorite, 'Hubba, hubba, hubba, Hello Team.' Officers are: Ferne Marler, president, Mary Jo Willhite, vice president: Madelyn House, secretaryg Joan Jay, treasurer, and Mrs. Michel, sponsor. 42 yn- -.-..- .--- luxn ra - al 1 x SQUAD PEP ' .
