Looking Beyond . . . Looking beyond past high school, we can use so many things we have learned here at Granite Hills. We have had to discipline ourselves with the mountains of homework demanding our attention. We have learned how to support our school, attending football games and showing our Eagle spirit. We have needed understanding, tolerance, and dedication here at Granite Hills, and this will help us throughout our lives. We will remember Granite Hills fondly, yet we will always be looking beyond. chooI's out ummers's in :Eid I it Before the final bell rang in June, girls faithfully submitted themselves to the blistering sun and 100 + temperatures in order to produce a tan. Students entertained themselves this summer, waterskiing, surfing and three-wheeling, or indulging in rock concerts such as the Beach Boys at Jack Murphy Stadium before a packed house, and the US Festival, the biggest rock event since Woodstock. Others enjoyed resorting to the mountains for some peacefulness and fresh air. Family vacations also proved to be worthwhile activities. Many found their time dwindl- ing because ofa commitment to a sum- mer job. However, the most prevalent summer pastime proved to be meeting friends at the beach to play irisbee, OTL and to deepen the tan. Whatever the activity, students found that the summertime holds many of the blissful memories of High School.
