2. Koji Baba, who is from Shizvoka, Japan, lives with Mr. and Mrs. Adams. His American brothers are Matt and Andy. Koji likes to play ping pong, soccer and vol- leyball. His favorite subjects are Math, Spanish, and P.E. Koji isn't too sure about his future education. He feels Granite Hills and his school in Japan are about the same. 5. Annette Rosenquist, who is from Viborg, Denmark, lives with Mr. and Mrs, Brown. Annette's favorite subject is language. Annette likes to swim and play badminton. When Annette gets back to Denmark, she has two years of school left. 4. Petra Hitchfield, who is from Berlin, Germany, lives with Mr. and Mrs. Coyle. Her American sister is Teresa. Petra feels that Granite Hills is stricter than the schools in Germany. She feels that the people are friendlier here than they are in Berlin. When Petra gets out of high school. she would like to go to a university in Germany, and then become a teacher. Her favorite sports are gym- nastics and swimming. ACTIVITIES 27

AFS and ICX Promote Friendship Between Countries. l. Paul Salamin, who is from Sierre, Switzerland, lives with Mr. and Mrs, Silvernale. He has an American brother named Dan. Paul is interested in Calculus. His hobbies are playing tennis, running, and dancing. After graduating from high school, Paul would like to continue with Physics. Paul linds Granite Hills a pleasant school to attend. 3, Kim Cox who is from Mt. Morris, Illinois, lives with Mr. and Mrs, Piszkin. Her American brother is Andy. Kim Feels that the teachers at Granite Hills are more lenient here than they are in Illinois. The school system is different here in Illinois. there are two credits per class. Kim's favorite sports are track, lield hockey and volleyball. Kim would like to become a court reporter or legal secretary. 26 ACTIVITIES
