CLARIO Our school newspaper, the CLARION, publishes its accounts ranging from school functions to personal student gripes. The CLARION staff publishes its newspaper bi- monthly and distributes it in the quad during both lunches on Fridays. The staff works beyond nor- mal school hours to publish the school paper. Staffers meet on Wednesday evenings and some- times go well into the night before the final paste- up is achieved. Through its efforts, the CLARION has achieved a first place status from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. The staff has 90? first year members. To achieve a position on the staff, a student must first successfully complete a semester ofjournal- ism and have recommendations from the teacher. No color pictures, no nude centerfolds, just an accurate account of students' feelings and school functions are what Ms. Roisman's staff conveys in the CLARION. I. Feature Editor Cathy Austin and Editor - in - Chief Stan I.uhr enjoy working in Clarion oflice. 2. Clarion staff mem- bers: Advisor, Miss Roismang Stan Luhr, Heather Mac Lach- lan, and Rochel Schad. 172 CLUBS
