vd ,L ,-',- -,, W R' x a ll N' 0l'ell!0l' As the first year of its existence comes to a close, Granite Hills High School has developed and matured from a fledgling eaglet to a bold, upright guardian of the sky. Through the trials and errors that always accompany a living, growing thing, we have dis- covered the true path to follow for the future to enable us to make this school the very best. Like a baby eaglet, we emerged from our shell a bit unsure and hesitant, but through the guidance of our qualified administration, faculty and student leaders we have soared aloft , spreading our mighty wings over the valley of E1 Cajon. Al- though challenges still confront us, we will fly to meet these challenges with the ambition and courage characteristic of that guardian of the sky, The Roman Eagle. Like the Roman Eagle we shall be respected and admired wherever our outstretched shadow falls. It has been with if feeling of great pride and a deep sense of responsibility that we, the Pag- eant Staff, have met the challenge of recording the first pages of the history of our school of the Eagles, Granite Hills High School. 2
