They were the dynamite kids who yelled themselves hoarse. During the busy seventh periods, heppy pepsters worked out catchy routines and revised new cheers. They flashed snappy outfits of cardinal and royal hlue, and spurred on GH spirit Friday nights. We'll never forget those terrific ral- lies where the hunch led us in victory cheers to the tempo of the pep hand. Remember how they ended - our Song of the GM - Go it Granite - Go it Granite - Hear the Battle Cry - and then the chants - Fight Granite, Beat jordanf' Flying through the air like red and blue streaks Bill and Stan demonstrate their hair-raising tactic When not performing their artful antics, these kids led dizzy lives. Bill Strausters grahhed top honors in state diving meets all three yearsg Daryl Spencer got her third fin' ger adornedg and Stan Derhidge thrived on tricky twists and flips. Personality guys, Kent Stevenson and Ron Erickson, swatted golf halls around the course, while jackie Bland took week-end ski trips to Alta and danced on assemblies. Commanding the C..-XP., Boh Adams hit a high mark.
