LORENZO H. HATCH Principal E ARE at the close of the most successful year in the history of this institution. The students generally, have given evidence of seriousness which from the first was certain to result in the successful completion of the work undertaken. Realizing that the time spent in the school roomrepresents an opportunity to prepare one's self to anticipate and solve intelligently the problems of life, we are of the opinion that we have never served our patrons more effectively, or with greater honor. We have enrolled more students than ever before. Our scholarship and student effort have been equally as commendable as those of any other like period. The type and success of our extra-curricular activities have been a credit to this institution. We hope the future will bring us equal honors. LORENZO WH. HATCH

CALVIN S. SMITH Superintendent When the sight and sound of the campus Fade in the long busy yearsg Yet will return in our memory Echoes of old songs and cheers? I HE future will bring with it feelings of satisfaction and regret. Feelings of satisfaction will arise out of the consciousness that one has done one's best. Regrets will arise for opportunities missed. I believe the students will come to appreciate and value the rigid insistance upon ever higher standards of scholarship and achievement that characterize and I hope will continue to characterize Granite High School. n CALVIN S. SMITH
