The clubs at G.F.H.S. allow students to do things in subjects that interest them. There are many clubs for students. For those considering a career in business, join the Future Business Leaders of America. For those interested in farm- ing, join the Future Farmers of America. Those wanting culture could join Art Club, Spanish Club, or Band and Choir, which show the importance of fine arts and ‘language, there are many other clubs for a student to par- ticipate in and learn from. What are you going to do for the next 50 years of your life after graduation from high school? For some students, the choice is to prepare themselves during high school for a job after graduation. Their choice is the Sno-Isle Skills Center. The Skills Center is designed to provide students in 11th and 12th grades with an opportuni- ty to pursue advanced job training while still in high school. It is here - at the Skills Center where students learn the skills, work habits, and attitudes needed to be successful at their chosen vocation. To accomplish this, students attend high school for half a day and the center for the other half day. Classes at the center earn academic credit for the students, the same as regular classes. There is no extra charge for this training. You can enroll in the Skills Center at your high school, however, you must follow an application process in- cluding a personal interview and testing. Also, good grades and atten- dance are needed to be selected for the center. 80-85% of Sno-Isle graduates are placed in jobs or further training. Maybe the Skills Center should be part of your future.
