I think that’s true. You do have to know someone important - you have to know yourself. Knowing yourself, knowing what you can and cannot do, and trying to do your best in each and every situation; believing that what you do today is important and will affect tomorrow; striving, with this in mind, to do what you can when you can; doing this will make this world a better place for everyone in it. Just imagine a world filled with people who know that what they do will make a difference, and who strive consciously to make the difference a positive goal for everyone. WRESTLING In the winter sports season of 1984-85, a new sport was introduced to Granite Falls High School - wrestling. Team members included Chet Hill (101), Jacques Halbert (108), Steve Head (122), Robert Knopp (129), Robbie Spriuell (135), Sean Chase (141), Jerry Strieck (148), Cliff Patridge (158), Wayne Schmidt (168), Keith Roye (178), Donovan Parris (178), Dean Hall (190), Kevin Adams (uni). The Granite wrestlers took four places at the league championships: Chet Hill - fourth, Steve Head - third, Wayne Schmidt - third, Dean Hall - fourth, qualifying them for the district championships. With two seniors graduating the team will continue in its Tiger tradition - tough, aggressive wrestling.
