Text from Pages 1 - 96 of the 1976 volume:

WE OF GRANITE FALLS HIGH SCHOOL ARE PERPETUALLY IN MOTION. OUR LIVES ARE A SERIES OF ACTIONS WHICH DETERMINE OUR FUTURE, AND INFLUENCE THOSE AROUND US. WE ARE FIRST SET IN MOTION AS AN INDIVIDUAL. THE INTERACTION OF INDIVIDUALS IN MOTION SETS OUR SCHOOL IN MOTION. THE '76 PILCHUCK HAS CAPTURED THESE MOTIONS IN CLASS, SPORTS, OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES AND JUST LIFE. SENIORS 5 The Class of '76 showed more spirit and worked harder to earn money than ever before. They were the loudest and most involved at all the pep assemblies. And when they decided to sell Valentine's Day candy, only one of their many money makers, they went all out and had every box sold within two weeks. Although not too many guys turned out for sports, the ones that did helped lead us on to our victories. Several senior girls turned out for girls athletics. The '75'-'76' year was a good one. And I was no exception. But this page is to acknowledge my helpers, friends, and staff members I couldn’t possibly get along without. First, Kathy Driscoll, next year’s staff assassin. Your sudden fits of insanity were the only things that kept the rest of us from going nuts. To you, I wish all the aspirin and luck in the world. (And a bottle of Mac wouldn’t hurt...) Cindy Phillips, always there when I needed you. No job was too big for you. Thanks a lot, and to you I leave Kathy Driscoll. Tom Jones, our faithful photographer. Always there to take pictures but not always able to see in the camera. Mr. Bates, a special thanks to you. Seemed like no matter how many times I bothered you with cries of anguish and terror, you just shrugged it off and referred me to your analyst. (I’ll be sure to have him send you my bill...) To all the people who worked so hard after school I want to give a special thanks. Without j'our help I would have been lost. The man from Crown Country. All the countless things he went through to help us out. Never can I tell you how much you were to us. Thanks again. 54 Annuat Left to Right: Kathy Driscoll-Asst.
