GRANITE FALLS HIGH SCHOOL GRANITE FALLS, WASHINGTON ADMINISTRATION As we go through our daily lives we can all point to in- dividuals who seem to always be on top. They always seem to make the most out of everything. We often won- der what it is that encourages these people to do so well. It is the same thing that has made so many ordinary people great people: Pride. Pride in oneself and what one stand for and does. Without pride a student will do C work when they could do A work. The athlete who cheats on training rules has little pride. Pride is what helps push a person who has lived in poverty to work day and night to better his station in life. This book reflects the pride the annual staff has in their work and their desire to record this year's activi- ties for all of their friends. I earnestly hope that this pride will always be with these staff members and all of our Grinte Falls Students. Mr. Eaab MR. HARRY RAAB Principal MRS. We hope you approve our efforts to record the year that pride was remembered for making the difference. 'The staff extends its thanks to all those who helped, and espe- cially to the sales teams who sold space, the business men and merchants who supported our book, Mr. Durham our Publishers Representative, and to Marchands Photography for their help in so many ways. They felt that their advisor, Mr. Lush could manage and teach better than a student. All the members are vitally interested in some sort of field of medicine, and for that reason their meetings were more like actual teaching sessions. Mr. Lush at- tempted to teach them all he knew about the various types of medicine. To add to Mr. Lush's knowledge, various people came and spoke to the club. Mr. Chuck Curtis taught a First Aid Course to the club. The members had bake sales and other money earning projects to provide funds for the field trips to various hos- pitals. Each and every member takes pride in their knowledge of medicine and hope to benefit the world with it. MEDICAL SCIENCE CLUB Top row, left to right: Robbie Minnis, Tim Thompson, Jim Cooper.
