However, there are certain keys which we may use to obtain this security. Among these are the friendships made in high school. I mean not only the friendships made with students and teachers, important as these are, but also those friendships made with books and with ideas. On these we can rely. If your years in high school and in later life can give you these three faithful friends, a know- ledge of great books, and the power to think, you will have unlocked the door to a way of life which cannot be shaken by even the most chaotic condi- tions in the world about you. Vern L. Huffman Principal's Message? We are constantly confronted by locked doors that block our paths to our desires. The secret keys that can unlock these doors are not always riches, power, or knowledge. Very often the keys are small portions of ourselves. A friendly smile, a congenial personality, a charitable generosity, and a courteous nature are but a few of the keys that we must forge for our ring as we go through life. We should pattern many keys for ourselves so that our needs and our desires do not meet with frustration too often. We must keep in mind that there is no one key to a happy life. Congratulations to the Class of '65. May each of its members succeed in their individual ventures. 3 Mark Zerr MR. MELVIN KELLN Shop, Mechanical Drawing, Drivers Training MR. Leading the peppy Juniors in support of our team were Carol Mackie and Cathy Horn, cheerleaders. During the year, the Juniors were constantly striving to raise the class funds. To help, they sponsored a sock hop, sold concessions at some of the football and basketball games, and sold the old annual pictures. These were just a few of the many projects of the Juniors. Junior Class members took an active part in many of the school's clubs and organizations. Some of these were the National Honor Society, Girls' Club, Medical Science Club, Drill Team, Pep Club, and many more. Doing the jerk’ at a Junior Class sock hop.
