SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE High school life should be a time for storing pleasant memories along with learning; for memories of our high school days are never really forgotten. The good things in life that we build for ourselves find their foundations here and now. Thus, as we grow to maturity we can look back through the pages of life that make up this book and reflect as the poet Keats advises as we ’’take down this book and read and dream of the soft look our eyes had once and of their shadows deep . May the best of fortunes pursue each of the graduating seniors in the many happy years that we sincerely hope lie ahead of them. Principal Mark Zerr 4 The question each senior must now ask, is how best may I serve my home, community, and nation. Life can hold great promise for those who prepare themselves to meet the challenges facing our country. At Granite Falls school you have learned to confront and conquer many problems. Thus, you have developed ideals and skills that will help you meet future problems. Yet, a great deal of preparation is before each of you. Your learning cannot come to an end. In a society faced with missiles, automation, and international chaos you are surely forced to continue developing excellent skills, ideas, and ideals. This, seniors, is the hope of democracy.
