DEBATE AND DECLAM Debate Team: Ray Sheggeby, Mr. Larkin, Rodney Hanson, Steve Carlson. Marie Minelli, and Billy Richter. Dellis Kietzman, Allan Sheggeby, Scott Ronnie, and Linda Wallace. The 1961 debate squad represented Cr.F.H,S. very well. They placed fourth at the Brookings, S.D. tournament, whe re they debated against very keen competition. They also participated in the St. Cloud tournament. The district trophy was taken by the debate squad with five wins and one loss. In the regional tournament our quick-thinking debators took 3rd place. Declam, under the direction of Mr. Larkin and Mrs. Wagener, proved very success- ful this year. The District contest was held at Montevideo, where Marie Minelli and Rodney Hansen won Superior ratings and advanced to the Region. ln the Regional contest, held at Olivia, Marie and Rodney received Excellent ratings.
