Carrousel Princess Sonya Childers The Carrousel Pageant was open to any senior girl who wished to enter, which made for some fierce competition among the girls and headaches for the judges. Contestants were judged in street wear and gown competition. Sonya Childers was crowned queen, with Cindy Johnson and Sandra Jordan being named runners-up. Sonya went on to Charlotte to compete in the state Carrousel Pageant and rode in the parade. Those of you with devoted, trained eyes saw her on television. 19a— In the pageant, Cindy Johnson was named 1st runner-up, (19b—), Sandra Jordan was voted 2nd runner-up, and (19c—) Sonya Childers was se- lected Carrousel Princess. 19

Professor Who? All-Am(!ri(;;in -the story of an immij raiil professor who comes to tcdcfi (mginef. ' rinjj at an obscure college, full of pr(jblems because of a losing football team. Being the genius that he is, Professor Fodorski devises a great mc ' thod of applying engineering to football: thus the winningest team in the nation and a student body that is finally interested in classes. Of course there are problems, such as his falling in love wiih the dean, his best pupil becoming a football meathead, and his loss of values; but, have no fear: he comes through in the end! Fur left: Ttie professor is amazed by his first football game, to say the least, tx ' ft: This is a bus? Far lower left: Moose will never learn (but Hulk keeps trying). Lower left: Susan is thrilled that Elizabeth has found her man. Lower center: A little fake hair here, old age lines there, some grey hair spray, and, presto! a Fodorski! Lower center: Oh, the agonies one must suffer for glamour on stage. Below: What is a musical, if there is no music?
