Aside from regular pep rallies, during football season the squad held Friday morning pep rallies on the steps. This brought more spirit to the team, as well as the student body. The cheer- leaders also participated in the annual Cheer- leading Contest at the Catawba Mall. During the week of January 28, the cheer- leaders sponsored Spirit Week at GFHS . Each day something different was planned by the squad from Sock it to ' em, Shoe ' em whose boss Day to Hat ' s Off to GFHS.
