Foreword w Another year has come and gone. One ' ' ■j ,, class has left the school, three have f ; .jj advanced, and one will enter in the ' ' K- ' - seemingly never-ending , cycle, many people leaving the school ' ' ' f--;;.v may ask themselves what they have received besides a furthering of their education. They will ask themselves ' } if a high school is bound together be- ' ' ' [ cause of athletic competition, clubs and other extra curricular activities, or by a group of people who are near- ing adulthood, facing the problems of : ■ becoming an adult. Are the students who are upper classmen beginning to feel more unified as they realize that 0 ; they soon face graduation together? Do the freshmen realize a unity that exists for them as they face high school together? Each class strives to achieve more than the class before it; unity helps them reach their goal. Unity within each class in turn helps to foster a feeling of unity within the entire school. ONTENTS . Introduction 1. Activities Featur Sports Administration Faculty Classes duertiai 5 Dedication With unity as the keynote to the 1972 Boulder theme, the staff chose to dedicate this year ' s edition to a person whose main concern is that of unifying the school through its various activities. This man has given more than his share to making our school one in which every person, student and teacher alike, is encouraged to take an active part. He challenges each of us to make a worthwhile con- tribution to our school. We proudly dedicate the 1972 Boulder to Mr. Bill C. Metcalf. 12 Interclub Council S. White, C. Wilson, P. Kreegar, L. A hard-hitting defense provided the turn- overs for the offense who really put the points on the board. The season started a little slow but the Demons quickly gain- ed momentum especially when playing in the rain. The De- mons played their best ball in bad weather. The schedule rolled on till it was time to play West Lincoln for our Homecoming, At half time, the rains came and the Demons got hot to defeat the undefeated. With less than ten seconds left in the game the strong defense blocked a punt and fell on it in the end zone for the winning points. This, along with the romp over Hildebran, was the high- light of the season. Late in the season key injuries played a part in knocking the Demons out of a more than likely playoff spot. With many experienced sophmores and juniors coming back, the Demons can look forward to a winning season again next year. Harold Williams J. V. Football FIRST ROW; Tri-Captains, S. Sherrill, L. Don ' t blind me from the memory of fail- ures and defeats and open my eyes only to my few aehievements. P ' or what can tomorrow be if yesterday was perfect? And if I made no mistakes in the past, how could I have lived? Let me face to- morrow remembering the bad times with determination to do better; and re- membering the good times to come.
