Abernathy The Granite Falls High School chorus proved to be the most active, experienced, and also the largest group of singers in the history of the school. The chorus entertained students and members of the community by performing in chapel programs, the Carrousel Pageant, the Band and Chorus Christ- mas concert, and also at the First Baptist Church in Granite Falls. Dawn shoots for TWO! The ' 70- ' 71 season of Girls ' Basketball came alive at Granite High. The girls had a 17-3 season and finished second in the conference in regular season play, for which they deservedly received a trophy. Three members of the team, Suzanne Russell, Amy Corpening, and Karen Spencer, were voted all-conference, and the team progressed into the finals of tournament play, finishing second.
