R. W. Starnes Principal Lenoir Rhyne College Ever since 1946, Mr. R. W. Starnes has been the axis of Granite Falls High School around which the life of the pupils and teachers revolves. Every morning there is a mad scramble in his office with students obtaining excuses signed by him and teachers collecting their records. During the day Mr. Starnes is busy advising the pupils and carrying on the routine work of the school. His character and strength work their way to the hearts of the students of Granite Falls High.
