c ast lyUiff and Testament We, the Senior Class of nineteen hundred and forty-nine of Granite Falls High School of the State of North Carolina, at the conclusion of our high school careers, do herewith make this, our last will and testament. ARTICLE I: To the patient, long-suffering faculty, and principal we leave our never- ending gratitude and loyalty. ARTICLE II: To the Juniors we reluctantly leave our dignity and privileges. ARTICLE III: The individual Seniors hereby will and bequeath unwillingly all their in- valuable properties; Mary Ann Annas wills her beautiful suntanned complexion to Shirley Mack Gilbert. Shirley Barlow leaves her shorthand 2 book to Mildred Cook. Eddie Bean leaves his bookkeeping book to Robert Compton. Coleen Bolick wills her quiet ways to Patty Harris. Lorene Bowman wills all her close acquaintances, except one, to Phyllis LeFevers. Mary Jo Bowman wills her school spirit to Howard Hennessee and Pleze Moore. Zelma Bowman wills her hair to Alline Smith. Paul Bumgarner wills his bus to Glenn Bumgarner. Sue Bumgarner wills her ability in shorthand to be fought over. Bobbie Jean Burns wills her hair to Jewell Hendrix and some of her freckles to Phil Snyder. Barbara Christopher wills her history book to Mozelle Holden. June Kirby wills her job as manager of Softball team to Iris Ann Dula. Vance Kirby wills his geometry book to Bobby Roberts. Nancy Mackie wills her hard-won top locker to Courtney Cannon.
