Superintendent of Schools Mr. Davis was born on March 23, 1931, in Springfield, Missouri. He attended Southwest Missouri State, and received a B.S. in Education in 1952. After teaching Social Studies and Drivers ' Education from 1955-1958, he received his mast er ' s degree in Education Administration at Missouri University. Mr. Davis then served as an Elementary Principal at Mexico, Missouri. In 1960, he became a Junior High Principal in the Granite City School District. He was appointed Assistant to the Superintendent in 1965, and in 1966, he became the Superintendent of Schools, Granite City Community Unit School District 9. 21
