MR KENNETH SPALDING PRINCIPAL Mr. Spalding was born in Madison, Illinois, and educated in the Madison school system, graduating from high school in 1957. He received his Baccalaureate Degree from S.I.U., Edwardsville, in 1963. In 1967 he received a Master’s degree from S.I.U., Edwardsville, in Secondary Education and School Administration. He began his teaching career in 1963, at Granite City Senior High School as an instructor in the Social Studies department. In 1968, he became assistant principal of Grigsby Junior High School for two years. In 1970, he returned to the Senior High School and served as assistant principal for 14 years. He then served one year as assistant principal at Coolidge Junior High and one year as principal at Grigsby. This year marks the first of what he hopes will be many, as Principal of Granite City Senior High School. Best Wishes to Mr. Spalding and his staff. ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS Mr. Sc human graduated from S.I.U. with B.S. and M.S. degrees, and also has a Specialist ' s Certificate in Education Administration. Formerly in charge of student discipline, he is now is in charge of scheduling of students and teachers for each semester. Mr. Kennedy was appointed this year as assistant at the Senior High, and is now in charge of student discipline. He has B.S. and M.S. degrees from S.I.U., Edwardsville. Newly appointed an assistant princi- pal for the second semester is Mr. Paint- er. He has a B.S. degree from Eastern Illinois University, and a M.S. from Southern Illinois University. He is a for- mer math teacher. 21
