No More South • No More North: WHAT DOES THE Mr. Harmon: As far as the students are concerned, I see no problem. North and South combined easily and my only complaint would be that the P.E. classes are too large. Other than that. I think things are going along, nicely. Mr. Moore: The closing of North was a necessary evil. It cut student participation in athletic and other activities in half. On the other hand, the transition was very good. However, I do miss my air conditioning.” Mrs. Shehorn: The way it is anymore, you about have to (close the school) because of the small amount of students. I think it ' s fine. Mr. Barker: It was necessary because of economic conditions. Kids have blended well, and I think it has been a success.” Mr. Pennell: The combination has been very smooth, and predicted student conflicts have not occurred. Students from North had a difficult experience by coming to a new environment, and they will never forget their past. What is important now is the present, though, and that the students have a new identity, together. 6
