In Memoriam In memory of Theodore Noeth, known affectionately as Ted, who served his community as a teacher for twenty-one years and as the head of the science department for nine years. Before teaching, Mr. Noeth, along with two other brothers, owned and operated a business. He then served in the armed forces during World War II, and later graduated valedictorian from Shurt- lett College. Mr. Noeth’s family consists of his wife, Helen; his son Larry who teaches at GCHS South; his daughter Carol who teaches at GCHS North, and another son Don, who is planning to become a teacher. Mr. Noeth donated much time to improving the science cur- riculum at the local parochial schools as well as the public schools. His influence will be felt for years to come in Granite City.
