G.C.H.S. Receives New Principal Principal James Dumont Mr. James Dumont graduated from Livingston Community High School, Livingston, Illinois, in 1949. He attended Illinois State University at Normal, Illinois, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1955, and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration in 1958. His teaching career consists of ten years in the Industrial Education department at Granite City Se- nior High School. He served as both Audio-Visual Coordinator and teacher during the school years 1963- 1965. In the fall of 1965, Mr. Dumont became an Assistant Principal at Coolidge Junior High School, a position he retained for three years prior to becoming the Principal. He served as Principal of Coolidge Junior High School for four years. The 1972-73 school year is his first year as Principal of the Granite City Senior High School. 25
