Mr. B.J. Davis, Superintendent of Schools Mr. Davis was bom on March 23, 1931, in Springfield, Missouri. He attended Southwest Missouri State and received a B.S. in Education in 1952. After teaching Social Studies two years at Chadwick Public Schools, he transferred to Salem, Missouri, where he taught Social Studies and Driver’s Education from 1955-1958. He received his Master’s degree in Education Administration at Missouri University. Mr. Davis then served as an Elementary Principal at Mexico, Missouri. In 1960, he became a Junior High Principal in the Granite City School District. He was appointed Assistant to the Superintendent in 1965, and in 1966, he became the Su- perintendent of Schools, Granite City Community Unit School District 9. 19
