Mr. B. J. Davis, Superintendent of Schools Davls u was born on March 23, 1931, in Springfield, Missouri He at- tended Southwest Missouri State and received a B.S. in Education in 1952 After teaching Social Studies two years at Chadwick Public Schools, he transferred q?? i 8 T SS io? 0 ’ ' l here he taUght : S ° cia l Judies and Driver’s Education from 1955-1958. In 1958, he also received his Master’s degree in Educational Ad- ministration at Missouri University. Mr. Davis then became an Elementary rincipal at Mexico, Missouri. In 1960, he became a Junior High Principal in e Granite City School District. He was appointed Assistant to the Superin- tendent in 1965, and in 1966 he became Superintendent of Schools, Granite City Community Unit School District 9.
