Mr. Cawrence C. McCauley, Principal Our principal, Mr. McCauley, was born in Granite City, and educated in the Granite City school system. During his senior year at G.C.H.S., he was president of his class. He belonged to the literary society, and was an outstanding athlete, lettering in foot- ball, basketball, baseball, and track. After his graduation in 1952, he became an employee of Granite City Steel Company. Mr. McCauley received his Bachelor ' s degree in Journalism from the University of Mis- souri in 1931. He received his Master ' s degree in Administration and Guidance in 1951, from Washington University. The same year be became Dean of Boys. Mr. McCauley was named Assistant Principal in 1953, and Principal of Granite City Senior High in 1956.
